see our My Space/Vimeo page page for current dates, videos and music. Overlap are Michael Denton and Anna McCrickard.
Our main inspiration is the intangible triangle of memory, fantasy and place. Over many years of making and mixing imagery and sound, we have found a form outside that of Film, TV and video art - a way of abstracting and combining content that has a musical or painterly logic rather than a word structured narrative one.
Content recycled and re-composited from old books and forgotten TV commercials is contained within a dance of shapes, lights and original abstract imagery. This re-mixing of fragments from history makes for a popular hook , playing with memory and imagination, whilst reaching audiences through new forms.

(Responsive Transitional Painting Proposal)
Viewed from above, shifting picture planes reveal floating figurines in a gin clear stream. Looking over the edge triggers an invisable laser beam, clearing the stream of the alluring figures. A soundscape of simple note progressions harmonises with metranomic bubbles.

Site specific
installation based around a projected object likely to be found in
the location. Flashing lights and panoramic sound music,
faint female voices and phosphorescent glows introduce a
midnight teleportation..
Situated in a dense pine forest with the screen
dramatically suspended in the trees, a tree identical to those in the surrounding
forest formed the basis of the visuals. The bespoke music and sound design mixes celestial ambient with dark thriller.
